I just installed the SHOUTcast on my local server and I'm trying to connect with MIXXX.
But I get only this log:
- Aug 15, 2013 Programming in Visual Basic.Net How to Connect Access Database. How to Use Free DJ software Mixxx To Make Live Broadcast With. How to get and set up your own Shoutcast radio - Duration.
- How do I setup an Icecast server for broadcasting audio in my network? Ask Question Asked 9 years. The server is started and stopped by the following commands. Does this not need to be a network-reachable IP or interface for other deviced to be able to connect?
- Once you have downloaded and installed Mixxx and the Lame Encoder (link on the Mixxx site, you will be unable to stream without it!) you are ready to configure it to connect to your SHOUTcast stream. Once Mixx is running navigate to Options on the menu and choose ‘Preferences’ from the resulting window select the ‘Live Broadcasting’ option, you will see.
- 4) Go to your Caster.FM control panel and log in securely. 5) Click the button labeled “Start Server” This is the information you'll need about your server to connect it to MIXXX. Your server is now running, but before you can broadcast you need to configure MIXXX by performing the following steps: 6).
- May 17, 2013 Re: 'Cannot connect to streaming server'. Check and make sure your host, port and password are all correct. Host = address of your shoutcast stream server. Port = port your host uses to send and recieve music streamed to it. Password = self explanitory.

I use this configuration:
Server: Shoutcast 1
mount : _blank
host: 192.168.1.24
port: 8000
user: admin
password: i tried all the 4 password generated using the build.sh script and connecting with browser
Stream Settings
as default
I started the server with this command
- Code: Select all
#./sc_serv daemon ./sc_serv.conf
I can access the server through web browser (firefox)
I'm running mixxx on
Linux 2.6.27.19-5-default x86_64 GNU/Linux (lubuntu)
Any ideas of what is happening?
thanks in advanceI'm a little confused filling out the information under preferences>live broadcasting using the information I received from Shoutcast. I have 3 port numbers two of which refer to using v1 or v2 and no idea what the other one is for.
Shoutcast Server Software
For starters, which version of shoutcast does Mixxx support?
My other question has to do with user and password. Shoutcast, (Centova) did not send me a specific user name and passwork. I've tried entering my Centova account information here and changed the port numbers around but I still cannot connect.
